Ingredients
1/2 cup (1 stick) unsalted butter, softened
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup light brown sugar
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
2 eggs
1/2 cup white-chocolate chips
2 teaspoons vanilla
1/2 cup chopped walnuts
1 cup all-purpose flour
Confectioners' sugar, for dusting
Preheat oven to 350 degrees F and grease an 8x8-inch pan. Using an electric mixer, cream the butter and brown sugar in a medium bowl. Beat in the eggs and vanilla until well blended.
Add the flour, salt and baking soda and stir until just combined. Add the white-chocolate chips and nuts, stirring just to blend, and turn the mixture into the baking pan. Smooth out the edges with a rubber spatula.
Bake 20 to 22 minutes, until golden brown. Cool completely before cutting into 64 1-inch squares. Dust lightly with confectioners’ sugar just before serving.
